I was once a Senior, too.

Looking back at my own senior portrait, I remember choosing clothes that felt like me.

Today, my advice to seniors is the same: wear what makes you feel confident and authentic. Trends come and go, but photographs that reflect your personality never go out of style.

My job isn't to tell you who to be. It's to help you look your best while staying true to yourself.

Your Senior Year. Your Story.

Senior portraits should capture more than what you look like—they should reflect who you are during one of life's biggest milestones. Whether your story includes athletics, music, art, the outdoors, or simply spending time with friends, we'll create images that feel authentic, confident, and uniquely you.

My goal is to create images that capture your personality, celebrate this milestone, and become photographs you'll still love years from now.

Wear what feels like you.

Some colors and patterns photograph differently than others, and I'm happy to help you choose outfits that fit both your personality and the style of images you want to create.

If you're looking for inspiration, these colors tend to photograph especially well outdoors:

  • Earth tones
  • Navy
  • Cream
  • Burgundy
  • Forest green
  • Denim
  • Soft blues
  • Neutral colors

Love bright colors, bold patterns, or your favorite graphic tee? Bring it! During your planning consultation, we'll choose outfits that reflect your personality while complementing your location and the overall look you're hoping to achieve.

Head to Toes.

Hair & Makeup

A few suggestions:

  • Get hair cut 1–2 weeks beforehand.
  • Moisturize the night before.
  • If you're planning a spray tan, schedule it several days before your session so the color has time to settle naturally.
  • Bring makeup for touch-ups.
  • Pack a brush and hairspray.

The Little Details

Sometimes it's the little things that make your portraits feel the most personal. Favorite sneakers, cowboy boots, dance shoes, a meaningful necklace, a watch from a grandparent, a well-loved baseball glove, or a favorite hat—these details help tell your story. Bring the items that feel most like you.

Make It Personal.

The best senior portraits reflect who you are. Bring items that showcase your interests, hobbies, accomplishments, or passions.

  • Sports equipment or uniforms
  • Musical instruments
  • Letter jacket
  • Cap and gown
  • Books
  • Art supplies
  • Dance shoes
  • Fishing gear
  • Skateboard
  • Flowers
  • Favorite hat or jacket
  • Anything meaningful to you

Not sure what to bring? We'll talk through ideas during your planning consultation.

Choosing the Perfect Location.

Your location should reflect who you are just as much as your clothing and accessories.

  • Downtown areas such as Portsmouth, Exeter, Kittery or Dover
  • Prescott Park
  • Beach
  • Forest trails
  • Athletic field
  • Urban brick
  • Waterfront
  • School campus

FAQ

Can parents come?

Absolutely.

How many outfits can I bring?

Multiple outfit changes are included during your session. The exact number will depend on how much time each change takes, allowing us to make the most of your 90-minute session.

Can we shoot at multiple locations?

Every session is a little different. If your locations are close together, we can often visit several. If we need to drive between locations, we'll work together to create a plan that makes the best use of your session time.

Can my dog come?

Yes! Pets are welcome with advance planning.

What if it rains?

We'll reschedule or adjust locations.

How long until I receive my gallery?

Most galleries are delivered within 2–3 weeks. During busy seasons, delivery may take a little longer. I'll also send you a sneak peek within a few days so you have something to share while I finish editing your gallery.
